Compatible Structure Systems

Select Structure Style Below

From the birth of the marquee and event rental industry, hire companies have been able to select, and then purchase, their preferred type of marquee design from multiple trade manufacturers providing a variety of temporary structure systems.

Historically, once the rental company selected their chosen supplier, the marquee hire company became “locked in” and committed to that supplier simply because of the incompatibility of the chosen supplier’s marquee system compared with other suppliers’ systems.

Until now, companies had two options available. Either, continue to purchase and maintain their existing marquee equipment from their chosen supplier with no control over price and inflexible production times or, alternatively, select a new supplier. This involves buying into yet another marquee system whilst dealing with the associated high costs of investing with a new supplier and dealing with the confusion of integrating another set of components into the company’s existing hire inventory.

The RÖDER HTS HÖCKER compatible structure system product range has been specifically designed to provide marquee and event rental operators from around the world with an alternative supply option to consider when contemplating purchasing new marquee equipment.

Our extensive range of compatible structure systems are 100% compatible, fully engineered and structurally indistinguishable from their competitive counterparts.  This alternative supply channel enables marquee and event rental companies to purchase spare component parts, extension bays and complete new marquee structures from the supplier they feel can deliver the best overall package in terms of high quality product, delivery lead-times and, most importantly, products supplied at a competitive price.

  • Wooden sub-frame with timber boards

    • Square timber joists form the base layer and are laid across the span of the structure.
    • Once laid, pressure treated / impregnated chamfered boards (2.95m or 4.95m x 50cm dependent on bay distance) are then laid on to the timber base.
    • The boards are locked into place by wooden battens that are fitted to the underside of the boards.
    • A special aluminium extrusion is then fitted, every 3m - 5m, along the length of the structure securing the flooring in each bay.
    • Once the flooring system is laid the structure can be erected.
    • With this type of floor, the structure is independent of the floor. However, if needed - party tents only - base-plates can be supplied and fitted to the special aluminium extrusion enabling the structure to be constructed above the floor.

  • Ring-beam cassette flooring system

    • The system consists alloy ground floor extrusions and interlocking cassette boards.
    • There are two sizes of cassette board. For party tents (3.00m bay distance), the boards are sized at 1.00m x 2.85m and for all big tent structures (5.00m bay distance); the boards are sized at 1.00m x 2.35m.
    • When laid, the boards are positioned on the sub-floor extrusion, which runs across the span of the structure.

The sub-floor extrusion is hollow in design. This special feature is designed for two reasons. First, when used on party tent structures, 3.00m – 10.00m in span, special weights can be easily positioned within the extrusion and covered with a filler panel. Therefore, when the weights are used there is no need for earth anchors because the structure is weighted against uplift within the static calculation value specified for the party tent range. Therefore all party tent structures can be erected on any surface without the need for additional site preparation, for example drilling or using external weights in times when the ground surface cannot be damaged. Alternatively, when internal weights are not being used, standard earth anchor stakes can be used for erection on grass or hardcore etc.

Secondly, when weights are not being used or the structure is greater than 10.00m in span the extrusion is designed to carry cabling or services through the structure (internal dimension 150mm x 80mm).

    Board technical specifications:

Board size (party tent structures): 1.00m x 2.85m

Board size (big tent structures): 1.00m x 2.35m

    Board thickness: 21mm

Weight per panel (party tent): 39kg

Weight per panel (big tent): 33kg

    Point loading (kgm2): 350kgm2

Standard wood type / finish: 3-ply cross-glued with smooth wood finish or non-slip surface to top with smooth underside. Exposed sides are coated and sealed to reduce water impregnation alternatively (at extra cost); the board ends can be fitted with special alloy protection guards.
